          At the end of 2020, Nike ushered in a new chapter for the line by launching the reissue of the Nike Kobe 6 Grinch. This iconic shoe made its original debut in 2010, when Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers faced LeBron James' Miami Heat in a historic Christmas Day game. The new version receives the "Protro" update—a reimagining of Kobe's classic shoe with the integration of modern technologies to enhance performance.

          The 2020 Nike Kobe 6 Protro Grinch appears similar to the 2010 OG version, with its textured Apple Green and Volt upper, inspired by snakeskin and dedicated to Kobe's iconic nickname, "Black Mamba." The design is enhanced with details such as the black Swoosh, the red Kobe logo on the tongue, and the translucent green outsole, which emphasize the shoe's reptilian style. However, being a Protro, this version includes substantial upgrades over the original model. In terms of performance, the new Kobe 6 Grinch features improved Zoom Air technology, designed for greater responsiveness and shock absorption during play. Additionally, the traction system has been reduced to optimize contact with the court and offer a more natural and fluid feel.
